Purrses est un groupe Bruxellois glam wave / art rock féminin avec une large gamme d'influences éclectiques. Un mélange étrange entre la musique rock des années 70’s/80’s, l'énergie punk et une touche moderne : les grooves bubble gum glam rock rencontrent des mélodies wavy pop, vaisseaux pour des textes tanto chantés tanto rapés.
Avec une oreille affinée pour les sonorités étranges et les stylistiques pop, il est assez spécial de décrire leur son. C’est une porte d’entrée dans l’univers de Laura Ruggiero, qui écrit, compose et produit la musique. Inévitablement, ses influences se sont mélangées et teintées de toutes les bizarreries qui définissent la scène alternative bruxelloise.
Le quintet trace son chemin dans la scène indie depuis 2022 avec des concerts marquants tels que Windmill Brixton (UK), Microfestival (BE), Point Ephémère (FR), Absolutely Free Festival (BE), Reflektor (BE) et Left of the Dial (NL).
Après un premier EP auto-produit et un deuxième EP « Wrong Tide » entièrement enregistré de manière analogique, sorti sur trois labels belges indépendants (Jaune Orange, Rockerill Records, Belly Button Records), leur premier album intitulé « Reality Fantasy », devrait sortir au printemps. La production cette fois ci est plus expérimentale, mélangeant techniques analogiques et numérique avec aux manettes Luc Bersier (Reymour) qui donnera un éclat singulier à cet opus.
Les deux premiers single “Ride the Dragon” et “?? (feat. Naomie Klaus & Aurélie Poppins )” sont déjà disponibles.
Le groupe prometteur Purrses possède un son unique, hors des sentiers battus. Frais et imprévisible—un rock mutant et indomptable.

Blinding 70's / 80's rock music, punk rooted energy with a modern twist : glam rock grooves meets teasing pop alongside rap'ish lyricism.
Keen ear for both weirdness sonics and pop stylistics, it’s quite special to describe, this is an entrance to Laura's world who write compose and produce the music. Inevitably, her influences merged and got tinged with all the peculiarities that define Brussels alternative and underground scene.
This five-piece band is carving its own path in the indie scene, they’ve been performing since 2022 with highlights including Windmill Brixton (UK), Microfestival (BE), Point Ephémère (FR), Absolutely Free Festival (BE), Reflektor (BE) and Left of the Dial (NL). Live shows are fun yet sexy, tense and groovy.
After a first auto produced debut EP and a full analogic recorded second EP « Wrong Tide » released on three indie belgian labels (Jaune Orange, Rockerill Records, Belly Button Records), highly anticipated debut album called "Reality Fantasy" is set to be released this spring.
